The tide is rising ⤒ It is approximately 6.5m at the moment, although it will probably feel higher than that due to the size of the tide. It has been rising from a low of 1.4m for 3 hours 27 minutes. It will reach a high tide of 9.5m in 2 hours 30 minutes at 07:03. The current tide range is 8.1m which is quite big.

Wind is currently strong WSW F 6 ( 28.6 mph).

Sea temp is 11.3 Β°C and sea state is rough to very rough, decreasing rather rough to rough overnight.

  • Wind: assumes that anything less than F2 is OK, and anything greater than F5 is bad. Otherwise, it takes into account bay aspect to determine if it's sheltered. Also assumes there is a point where a bay will stop being sheltered.
  • Bay min / max tides are highly subjective, but the idea is that some bays can only really be swum at specific tides (for example rocky bays aren't nice at really low tide.)
  • Green generally means OK to swim; Red means avoid swimming (due to tide or wind) and orange/amber means good but the wind might be a factor.
