The tide is high at a height of 7.5m. It turned and began falling at 16:40. The current tide range is 5.1m which is fairly normal.

Wind is currently moderate WSW F 5 ( 23.9 mph).

Sea temp is 10.6°C and sea state is moderate to rather rough in the southeast, increasing rough to very rough, locally high in the northwest, decreasing moderate later. moderate to heavy swell throughout.

Fermain Bay

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. No public parking at the bay. Accessed by the cliff paths (or down the hill) 30 in 30 bay #17

Grandes Rocques

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 3m and 8m. Glorious at mid to high tide. Very rocky and unswimmable at low 30 in 30 bay #3, 9 in 30 bay #6

L'Ancresse Bay

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. 30 in 30 bay #13

L'Eree

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 3m and 8m. Wide beach with lots of options. Shelter by the headland. Rocky at low tide. 30 in 30 bay #26, 9 in 30 bay #3

Pembroke

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.

Petit Bot

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 0m and 8m. Glorious most of the time but difficult at high tide due to the large shingle bank - watch out for wash (swim shoes advised) 30 in 30 bay #23, 9 in 30 bay #1

Petit Port

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. Access is a little tricky 30 in 30 bay #19

Port Soif (Bay)

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 6.5m and 8.5m. Swim on any tide higher than around 7m. There is a forest of sharp rocks which covers the sea floor, exposed at anything below that height. Low Tide swims, below 1m, involves a long trek through rock pools up to calf level and through seaweed to get to a sandy beach. 30 in 30 bay #4

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 2m and 8m. Very rock and shallow at low tide. 30 in 30 bay #24, 9 in 30 bay #2

Saints Bay (Harbour)

Best between 1.5m and 8m. Can get shelter when Shell Beach is windy. Has kiosk.

Bathing Pools - Ladies

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 0m and 8m. Recently fully renovated - now with changing facilities and a cafe! Can be a bit dodgy on a big tide.

Havelet

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 0m and 8.5m. Entry from either the slipway or either side of Octopus Restaurant. Works at pretty much all tides other than the very biggest when it can be up against the wall. 30 in 30 bay #16

Bordeaux Harbour

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. 30 in 30 bay #15

Fort Grey

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 6m and 10m. Magical at mid to high tide. At low tide it disappears to the left of Fort Grey, but if you wander to the right you can get to it over sand.

Salerie Corner

Condition: Good. It's a little windy but the tide looks OK and there should be some shelter.
Best between 6.5m and 11m.

Rousse Pier

Condition: Poor. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered and the tide is wrong. Not great.

Port Grat

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 5m and 8m. Best at high tide. It has a very gradual gradient lower than c. 6.5/7.0m, when the rocky outcrops emerge. You can find yourself paddling in knee deep water for quite a distance after that. Ideal for little children though. 30 in 30 bay #6. (Thanks Ann G for details!)

Best between 3m and 8m. Very rocky at low tide

Port Soif (Outer Reef)

Condition: Poor. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered and the tide is wrong. Not great.
Best between 1m and 5m. Swim on a low tide; long walk out or accessible by headlands at either end of the bay

Port Soif (West)

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 4m and 8.5m. Mid to high tide better

Best between 1m and 8m. Very difficult access by path and then ladder. Can attract naturists. Venus Pools exist in the right conditions. 30 in 30 bay #22

Saints Bay

Best between 3m and 8m. Usually quiet. Rocky at low tide. Sheltered from wind.

Sark (Creux Harbour)

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. Well sheltered. Fun jumping off the harbour wall at high tide.

Sark (La Grande Greve)

Condition: Average. It's a little windy and it's not sheltered.
Best between 1.5m and 8m. Difficult access via track

Best between 4.5m and 8m. Only works at mid to high tide.

Wind: assumes that anything less than F2 is OK, and anything greater than F5 is bad. Otherwise, it takes into account bay aspect to determine if it's sheltered. Also assumes there is a point where a bay will stop being sheltered.
Bay min / max tides are highly subjective, but the idea is that some bays can only really be swum at specific tides (for example rocky bays aren't nice at really low tide.)
Green generally means OK to swim; Red means avoid swimming (due to tide or wind) and orange/amber means good but the wind might be a factor.
